Tajikistan new commemorative 100-somoni note (B222a) confirmed introduced 30.10.2025

This 100-somoni note commemorates the 25th anniversary of the national currency, the somoni.

Light blue, dark blue, pink, red, and green. Front: Tajik text; six concave hexadecagons; bank logo as registration device; 25th anniversary logo; purple-to-green RollingStar patch; Samanid mausoleum; Ismoil Somoni, founder of the first centralized state; coat of arms. Back: English and Tajik text; new parliament building; bank logo as registration device; flag. 6-mm wide purple-to-orange RollingStar Venus windowed security thread with demetalized 100 and nested concave hexadecagons. This is the first note in the world to use RollingStar Venus windowed security thread with colored bindings MotifFlip and ColorFlip, as well as the RollingStar patch on the front.

This note was honored as the Best Commemorative Banknote at the High Security Printing conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 2 December 2025.
